My name is David Scott II. I am currently a 16-year-old junior in the Gifted Academy at Auburn High School, where I am ranked in the top 5 of my class. By the end of this academic year, I will have completed 14 college-level AP and Dual Credit courses. My goal is to pursue a career in Economics, a field that is vital to the growth and stability of communities like ours.

Beyond the Classroom

I believe that leadership is as important as academics. My commitment to Rockford includes:

The Opportunity: University of Miami

I have been accepted into the University of Miami’s Pre-College Program. This is a rigorous, high-level immersion into economic theory and application. After researching several institutions, I found that Miami offers the most competitive value: $10,225 for two courses, compared to $9,300 for just one course at the University of Chicago.

A Partnership, Not Just a Donation

I am working hard to fund this academic pursuit. I am not asking for a major grant or the full tuition. Instead, I am seeking a community sponsorship of $25 to $1000 to help bridge the final gap for my enrollment fees and materials.
